Roaring Timber are an explorative string quartet playing music that is simultaneously old and new. Blending irresistible folk rhythms with jazzy spontaneity and the sensitivity of chamber music, their sound, like their instruments, is at once rugged and refined. They offer something new to listeners from all walks of life. Aline Homzy: award-winning classical / jazz violinist and composer. (Aline’s Étoile Magique) Gabriel Dubreuil: jazz / folk violinist and bandleader. (Early Spirit) Lea Kirstein: folk / classical violist and fiddler. (Citizen Jane) George Crotty: improvising cellist and producer. (2Birds Band) Presented in collaboration with our host Mark Whale's Music Listening Project: For more info visit:
