Amit Chakraborty (Indian Classical Musician, Vocalist) Amit started learning music at the age of eight at Gostha Bihari Sangeet Sikhayatan and from many great teachers like Ustad Raza Ali Khan, Bidushi Chameli Roy, Pt Karunamoy Das, Prof Sukumar Moitra, Ustad Hussain Bakhsh. Amit mainly belongs to Patiala Gharana but also try to assimilate great things from other Gharanas as well. Amit was awarded “Sangeet Bhusan” from Pracheen Kala Kendra (Chandigarh University) and has had numerous concerts in India, Europe and USA. Agona: Stories from the Orient Between the Balkans and Middle East, American songbooks & India, Agona's music blends a rich and diverse mixture of sounds and cultures through an original voice and interpretation.
