Description

This will be a small 3-4hr ukulele festival. The first hour will be a ukulele workshop/sing-a-long where those new to playing the ukulele, can learn some basic chords, and play some classic ukulele songs (Sweet Caroline, anyone?). The second hour will be a one hour concert with 2-3 artists performing. The last one-two hours will be an open mic where anyone can showcase their uke skills!

What to expect

Attendees should expect a relaxed atmosphere, you can come for one part of the festival, or stay for the whole thing.

Why is this happening?

There are ukulele festivals all over the world, however, there isn't an annual ukulele festival in the New York City area. Because NY has a diverse range of music, I believe that there should be something to celebrate the ukulele.
