Secret AV Club showcases prolific writers and journalists who are producing outstanding audio and video content to audiences around NYC. This edition features Slate reporter, Leon Neyfakh showcasing his outstanding podcast on Watergate, Slow Burn. The eight-episode podcast miniseries "tells the story of Watergate as it happened—and asks, if we were living through Watergate, would we know it?" About Leon Neyfakh: Leon is a journalist/author who, in addition to hosting and co-creating Slow Burn, works as a reporter for Slate. He previously wrote for the Boston Globe as the Ideas staff and was a reporter for the New York Observer. He has written for The FADER, the New Republic,,, and a number of other publications. Born in the Soviet Union, Neyfakh was raised in Oak Park, IL, and now lives in Brooklyn.

What to expect

Attendees should expect a warm atmosphere on a suddenly very relevant topic. There will be drinks and snacks! BYOB if you'd like!

Why is this happening?

I discovered Leon Neyfakh's podcast a few months ago and was amazed not only on how intriguing and educational the content was, but how relevant Watergate and the hidden stories behind it are to today's never-ending political headlines.
