I'm a ballet choreographer and exploring new territory with my project Wild Space. Wild Space brings together some of the worlds top ballet dancers to create a new, site-specific ballet with an original story. It will be coming to Suffolk, Toronto, London, Amsterdam, Copenhagen and potentially more over the next year! I'm Choreographic Associate with The National Ballet of Canada, where I've created many ballets and have also created work for The New York City Ballet, The Royal Ballet, Studio Wayne McGregor, The Dutch National Ballet, The German National Youth Ballet, The Estonian National Ballet, Ballet Black and more. I've choreographed music videos for Owen Pallett and Belle & Sebastian, created choreography for the Royal Academy of Dance's Advanced Training Syllabus and had the privilege of presenting my work at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and the Art Gallery of Ontario.

Space Info

A new immersive ballet in progress by Wild Space. Choreographed by Robert Binet Visual design by Harley Valentine Featuring dancers Félix Paquet, Jenna Savella and Dylan Tedaldi of the National Ballet of Canada Music by Jóhann Jóhannsson and Gavin Bryars For Wild Space’s 2nd adventure, Robert Binet is developing a new work inspired by the story of Fordlândia - a town and factory complex built by The Ford Company deep in the Amazon Rainforest in the 1920s that was quickly abandoned and reclaimed by nature. The dance at times casts the performers as forces of nature overtaking what man has built, and at times as humans witnessing and experiencing the decay and powerlessness so central to this story, and to our relationship with the natural world. This first iteration of the project is presented in collaboration with sculptor Harley Valentine. Photo: Dylan Tedaldi and Félix Paquet photographed by Karolina Kuras at Harley Valentine Studio.
